Daniel A. Cardenas is a Principal at Vertical Real Estate, a leading commercial retail brokerage firm headquartered in Miami Beach, Florida.

Daniel has over 15 years of experience in South Florida commercial real estate and has been involved in more than $500 million in transactions. He has developed a deep understanding of urban retail markets and provides strategic advisory services to both landlords and tenants across leasing, development, sales, and market positioning.

Daniel has played an integral role in the evolution of several key South Florida submarkets, including Lincoln Road, Sunset Harbour, Brickell, Midtown, Wynwood, the Design District, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove.

Throughout his career, Daniel has worked with a diverse roster of leading national and regional retailers, hospitality groups, and fitness operators, including Equinox, Blink Fitness, SoulCycle, American Eagle/Aerie, Uniqlo, CVS Pharmacy, WeWork, Amazon, Romero Britto Art, Noble 33, Riviera Dining Group, Ink Entertainment,  Miami Slice Hospitality, Quality Branded, Joe’s Pizza, D.ream International, and DZO Hospitality.

Daniel has also served as a consultant and exclusive representative to a wide range of prominent developers, landlords, family offices, and institutional owners, including Asana Partners, Related Group, Related Companies, RFR Realty, Cain International, OKO Group, The Allen Morris Company, PEBB Enterprises, FLOW, Grupo Santander, Madison Capital, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp, Principal, PLC Investments, Camden Property Trust, KBS Realty, Tristar Capital, Time Equities, Goddard Investment Group, and Wynn Resorts.

Prior to joining Vertical Real Estate, Daniel was a Principal at Avenue Real Estate Partners in Miami Beach.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida, a member of ICSC, and was recognized as a CoStar Power Broker in 2020.
